Essential elements of a professional resume
Career objective – It is a description of yourself that explains your goal in the career you are about to choose. You can add your skills indirectly in an objective and tell the employer where would you see yourself in the future.
Educational qualification – If you have any educational qualifications from institutions, you can add them. Usually, people will add these qualifications from a higher degree to the lower one. Additional skills – You may have some skills that are not related to your job profile but can help you mentally and physically. These can be any athletic performances, yoga certification, and many others. You can add this information also, but there is no need for highlighting these skills as there is no direct use or relevance to your job.
Work experience – If you are jumping from one company to another, you should include your previous work experience. You have to mention the name of the company and your role. If you are comfortable, you can add references to previous companies. You can include your achievements in the company, along with the new skills learned through your work. Usually, work experience will also be in reverse chronological order with the current job on the top.
Projects done – Apart from your educational and work experience, you would have sometimes done some projects using your knowledge. If these projects are relevant to your current job profile, you need not hesitate to include them in your resume. Most of the companies will tend to hire people having experience in their own interests.
